Worst Actor

Has to be Orlando Bloom, hanRAB down. He got lucky with LOTR and POTC! If he was ugly he wouldn't get cast in anything. Even people who like him say it's cos he is hot and admit he can't act. Just abysmal and hard to watch!!! Especially when he's next to great actors like Johnny Depp.
 
Brad pitt never interested me at all but i gained respect for him after seeing him in Benjamin Button.

Orlando Bloom - Not that great either. Paired with two great actors (being Depp and Knightley), he just seemed out of place.
 
well I strongly disagree and you are definitely in the minority in thinking he doesn't suck as an actor. He wasn't as bad in LOTR cos he had very few lines and just had to look pretty. He was awful in POTC, he has one facial expression and uses the most annoying, fake voice which sounRAB robotic and never changes in his roles. His performance in Troy was the worst. As one critic put it "orlando bloomin awful" :D

High Grant is a bit typecast but he can act, and Hayden Christensen was actually good in Shattered Glass. He was just miscast in Star Wars.
 
I think Orlando just lacks versatility, he seems to play the same character in everything I've seen. I don't find him painful to watch like Radcliffe, Reeves, Segal etc. I just find him boring to watch.
 
Soon as I saw the thread I thought of Nicholas Cage too. Dreadful. Actually spoils films for me.

Never understood all the fuss about Lawrence Oliver either. Not that I'm that old! but having seen clips of his past films he seems terribly overrated.
 
Olivier was like a lot of great stage actors - he forgot to turn the volume down when playing in films. The camera is a few feet away yet he's performing to an audience member at the back of a huge theatre.

Mind you, in that respect Richard Burton was even wose. He was appalling.

Of recent/current actors mentioned in this thread I would say Hayden Christiansen - totally wooden.
 
George Clooney without a doubt.

This guy can only piggy back on big names like brad pitt and Matt Damon. His past 6 films have been with those two actors.

His acting is pretty much the same in every, every movie. The typical charming and smirking smile role. :rolleyes:
Clooney is typical of a self satisfied douche that loves himself . Watching him at the opening of the 2010 Oscars he couldn't even put his ego away even to laugh at himself for 1 min.

Oh and by the way, Worst batman ever!!!!!!

He killed off the franchise with his crappy film. :eek:

He begins by stating how his award helps define his identity, along with his award for Sexiest Man Alive 1997. As he mentions his award for arousing sexual desire, he does so in the 3rd person.

But, he then demonstrates the collective smugness of Hollywood as he pompously takes credit for the civil rights movement & combating AIRAB.

These signs of excessive self-satisfaction!
His comments aren't about the academy making breakthroughs in "the media". He is claiming the academy is responsible for causing significant/positive changes to the REAL LIFE civil rights movement and the REAL LIFE fight against AIRAB.

These people of Hollywood are actors! And Clooney is demonstrating their collective smugness when he pretentiously spews this self-congratulatory BS. He's basically saying to all these Hollywood elites: "WE'RE AWESOME!"

Yeah it's definitely Bloomy Balls. He gives good hair in Lord Of The Rings..but that's about it.
