World Wrestling Entertainment Discussion X (Spoilers)

I must admit I read them, and "know" far too much (about how stuff works as much as what happened - I can recall pretty much anything that has happened on PPV for TNA or WWE). Im a geek, I know. Plus I am quite arrogant when I know I'm right - a character flaw for sure, this is constantly pointed out to me by her indoors and the old lady.

The thing is Whedon, Russo was never in 100% control of WWF. McMahon and others vetted everything. In WCW and TNA (where Russo is and has been head of a very small ccreative team for 3 years with Dixies 100% backing), he runs riot and while some of it is good, there's nobody stopping him from throwing out the absolute trash. I'd like to see him back in control a bit more because I dont like Bischoff's gang mentality (everyone has to be in a gang? why?), but I think he neeRAB someone to say no sometimes too - apparently that used to be Scott D'Amore (on screen team canada leader), but since he's gone I dont think anyone stops him. Cornette publicly wishes death on him now. That takes some doing.

I like Russo's approach - in 99 WWF everyone had something going on, not just the top guys. He tries that in TNA, but I think just lately he's being crushed by a certain orange goblin...
 
But you could probably excuse the 2 matches you mention ending in a DQ because none of those matches were last on the ppv.People are peeved off because the last match of the night to end a ppv ended in a DQ
 
WWE puts him on a pedestal. No other wrestling company in the world would do that to him and treat him that way. The same can be said about guys like the Big Show and Kane. There is a lack of big guys in the business so they need to fight regular size guys. A wrestling fan can enjoy it for what it is but a casual fan knows there is no way a guy like Rey should be able to beat someone who is 6ft and built like a tank. Just like there is no way Big Show should be losing to anyone under 6 feet. But that's just the way wrestling is in this day and age.
 
Well, just got that Wrestlemanis show on SS2 on in the background, with adverts for the live RAW on Nov 8, with a spoiler on what the main event will be.

Sheamus, Cena and Orton in a triple threat match for the WWE title

EGG[;45090698']guys whats the best way to get access to Sky Sports 4 for 'Bragging Rights' tonight if I have Virgin cable? Do I need to phone up virgin and take out a whole month subscription to the Sky Sports channels or is there an easier alternate method that would work out cheaper just to get access to Sky Sports 4 for a single night? Any help/advice would be most appreciated - thanks in advance :)

Linda McMahon shouldn't be senator, she's CEO of what's actually a pretty trashy TV show. And she should just go away.

- Among those discussed this past week for induction into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame were Bill Goldberg, Lex Luger and Ron Simmons.

Also under consideration for induction into the Hall is that of the Four Horsemen. Company officials would prefer to induct the group as opposed to solely Arn Anderson. However, the group's induction will likely hinge on whether Ric Flair re-signs with TNA Wrestling once his current contract expires early next year.

WWE also has strong interest in inducting Sting into the Hall of Fame, though his availability hinges on whether he re-signs with TNA Wrestling for 2011.
 
Main story or not they should have had the WWE title match second from last or earlier. Its not like Raw when you have your top angle/match on last as that is when most viewers watch, people who have bought the PPV wont be flicking channels halfway through.

Having Undertaker buried alive would have made a good ending or Smackdown celebrating retaining the trophy. Instead everyone is left with the feeling "is that it"? And most of the crowd didnt know what was going on. Not the way to finish a PPV.

Why oh why is it taking so long to put a face to the GM

At least Nattie got some mic time and she is pretty good and it was good to see Gail if only briefly before she goes back to the guest star stuff from next week
 
From a personal perspective I think it'd be hilarious but I reckon it'll be some crappy popstar or something equally unentertaining sadly!

And nice to have another opinion into the mix :D Just hoping its a good show now!
