World Wrestling Entertainment Discussion X (Spoilers)

Both big men. Both limited in the ring. Both spend more of their time posing to the crowd. Not proper wrestlers. Also Matt worked in WWE for a brief period.

What nonsense. He ring-psychology and timing were exceptional. Seriously, if you can name me another performer who has done what he has, can do what he has, or is doing what he has, then I'd like to hear it.

And yes, his age has meant he takes longer to recover, but when he was called upon (the last two Wrestlemanias spring to mind) he turned on the class as only he can. I hope he has a good retirement. I'm glad I got to see him at his absolute peak.

Can't see them throwing Wade Barrett into which could well be Undertaker's retirement match so soon, of course it would be a huge boost and Barrett will probably be a former WWE Champion by that time, but I can't see it.

I can see a Barrett-HHH match though

Bragging Rights is just done to plug the Smackdown Vs. Raw video game.

Anyway my predictions are

Daniel Bryan
Layla
Team SmackDown
Undertaker
Wade Barrett

(Bring it home, Wade ;) )

Fair enough - but what about the 2.8's Nitro was doing in December 1999? How do you explain Starrcade's awful buyrate and the even lower buyrate for Souled Out?

Note: They attracted in the region of 100,000 and 90,000 buys - way down on the estimated 370,000 buys Starrcade 1998 pulled.

You can't possibly argue the car crash television format was good for WCW's business model? Even if it did bring an ever so slightly higher rating on average.

ok i appreicate that

wwf did go after wcw in 1997 remember, HBK spray painting anvil in w.c.w was a standout moment, then dx invading wcw in early 1998 was cool too

wwf beat wcw because of vince russo i have no doubt, and i just wish tna would give russo 100% creative control so he could bring back the glory days of crash tv sports entertainment

i am not a fan of wwe since late 99,in hinRABight wwf 2000 was great compared to wwf of today, but back then i could tell the show was starting to lack excitement whilst over on TNT the much aligned russo wcw was amazing in my book

this is why i took a haitus from wrestling forums lol,i hate people who act like they are dirtsheet writers(not you...so much lol)

I'm a wwe fan boy but tna is a slowly becoming Jurassic Theme Park.

TNA use to have the youth but now its like / if your ppissed at not been the top guy in wwe then come here and hog all the tv time you want.

WWE is now pushing the youth much like they did pre attitude era....i'm not saying for 1 minute the attitude era is about to start again, just TNA and WWE have done a complete reverse on who they push.

Swagger seems to be another one that hasn't had a stable run so far. He, Sheamus, Punk, Miz, Barrett seem like they could easily be World Champions. But everything seems rushed thesedays (probably due to the frequency of the PPVs) that they don't seem to be getting their time in the spotlight.

I agree with your choices for the Rumble winner. I just hope that whoever wins it actually wins their WM match. Last person to do so was Taker ('07).

CM Punk winning it would be good and then facing Orton at WM. I think they could have a good match. Plus, did Punk ever get revenge on Orton for taking him out and costing him the World Heavyweight Championship in '08?

My mate got our Birmingham tickets yesterday. So they're slowly being sent out. We're only waiting on Nottingham ones now...the others have all arrived.
