Wonder Woman: New movie coming Soon

Part of the casting will also depend on what kind of Wonder Woman they want this time as well. This includes age and height as the comic character is an Amazonian (aka tall) woman in her 30s, maybe early 40s if we push it.

Charleze Therone fits the bill for height. So does Uman Thurman.

If they want a more petite and younger "woman of the millennia" then you've got Jessica Alba, Eliza Dushku and other, more average (some are really short) women to choose from.

I don't have any personal picks right now.

However, from that list, Salma Hyeck, Vivica A. Fox and Lucy Lui won't even be seriously considered because Wonder Woman is Caucasian and if they change the character too much... Race being a major change you can't just ignore... Then it won't go over well with fans of the comic as well as the casual fan whom all comic book movies are also aimed at.
 
Christie, Omg! Those pictures are amazing. Those are such beautiful actresses, and I think they are pretty good choices for the role. I kept going back and forth about the choices, but wow.

I like each one of them for different reasons.

I like Eliza because she reminds me a bit of the comic book but younger. And since Joss said he is making the character younger, I think she would be good.

I like Charisma, because she just really looks like the part as well. I can really see her in the costume. I really think she'd be great in the role, I'd be very excited to see that.

Erica Durance, isn't my #1 choice, but I could see it. She would need to darken her hair. But I think she's good. She has a good figure for it. She's better than other choices. Personally I think she is better than Jessica Biel who I heard it also up for the part. Jessica has a great body, she really does. But I don't think she really looks like Wonder Woman.

Rachel Bilson. Omg. I know Wonder Woman is tall, but I don't freakin care. Christie the pictures you picked of Rachel are perfect. Her hair is wavier, her face and figure a tad fuller (I think she lost some weight recently, she's not too thin at all, I just mean Wonder Woman is a little bucksome). But those pics you selected are awesome. And the last one with her in the costume...very cool.

Lauren Grahm, I don't think she will get picked because I heard Joss wants a younger WW, but seeing those pics makes me truly believe she would rock. Again Christie, you picked the right pics. The pics show off her figure, her hair. The last one, she looks a bit tough in, awesome. She looks like she could be WW. I like Lauren because she reminds me a little of Linda Carter. They don't exactly looks alike, but there is something similar.

Christie I love this thread, I've loved WW since I was a little girl, I even had a comic or two, and if you know me, you know I'm not exactly a Comic kid lol. I just love Comic movies. But anywayz, keep posting the pics, because you pick the right ones. And it passes the time, since we haven't heard anymore news on casting or anything. :D
 
I'm glad to see a lot of people are interested in Wonder Woman as well. A lot of you seem to like Rachel a lot for the part, and as I mentioned in my first post, I could see her playing it. There are a lot of good choices, I still like Eliza, Charisma, Lucy Lawless, Erica Durance, Lauren Graham, Rachel Bilson, and Jessica Alba as I mentioned in my first post, but I love hearing what everyone else has to say and suggest. Let's keep this going, I can't wait for a Wonder Woman movie. :D

At out the 7 I had picked though, Jessica ALba is fading a lil bit. I still could see the possibility but not as much as my other choices.
 
I've heard (or read, can't remember) that Whedon wants someone younger so they could potentially follow up with a couple sequels depending on WW's success, which may or may not put Lauren Graham out of the running since she's getting up there in age.

I'd be up for Kate Beckinsale as Wonder Woman.

I don't think anyone has brought her up, but since I found this pic I thought I would post it. Honestly I don't really care for her for the part. She def has a great figure and all, but I don't know if she has the acting chops to play the part. But that's just my opinion, you never know. But since we are discussing WW and I came across this pic I thought I would add it to the ones we've seen so far.
 
I doubt they'd go Jessica Alba, because she's in the Fantastic Four movie, but she would be a good choice IMO.

Lauren Graham would be really good too, although it depends on how old they want her to look. Lauren Graham doesn't look old at old, just older than some of the other choices.

For some reason, I swear I heard Mischa Barton for the role, which, no offence to anyone I cannot picture her as.

I haven't heard any new news on this. But I'll keep my eyes and ears open. Until then maybe I'll look for some more pics or something...:)
 
Hey everyone, I'm sorry I kinda abandoned the thread, I haven't posted on fan forum in a while, I just started to post again.

I recently heard that Katie Holmes is either being considered for the part, or that she would like to be considered for the part. I heard this from www.slayerverse.net . This site had an article about Katie and Wonder Woman.

Personally I don't think she's the worst choice, but I don't think she is the best one either. I much rather see Eliza Dushku, Charisma Carpenter, Lauren Graham, or Erica Durance play the part (possibly Rachel Bilson as well). However I do think Katie Holmes would be better than a lot of the other choices listed.

I love Jessica Biel and Sarah Michelle Gellar, but personally I do not see them playing Wonder Woman. SMG is wayyyy to skinny and petite. (The height issue I could get used to because I know that Rachel Bilson is short, but I think she could possibly play Wonder Woman). Plus SMG just doesn't look like Wonder Woman at all. I'm not insulting her, because believe me I love SMG big time. And Jessica Biel is awesome but she just doesn't look the part to me.

I think they def do want a WW in early to mid twenties though. I think they should at least consider an older one. Linda Carter rocked, and she wasn't in her 20s. Hmmmm...

Let's keep discussing this, I love Wonder Woman, I even had the pajamas when I was little hehehe :lol: :D
 
Yeah, I could totally picture Angie Harmon as well.
Rachel Bilson and Lauren Graham are my top contenders for now. Don't ask.
 
Yea an unknown is very possible. As long as the person fits the part, I'm totally ok with an unknown.

And yea, I too heard Joss probably wouldn't cast someone he's worked w/ from Buffyverse...makes me sad though :(

I'd have to say Lauren Graham, not because I'm a huge fan of hers, just b/c I think she looks most like Lynda Carter. I think she's the right type for the role
