Probably about how disappointing it was that her houseguest had left and they wouldn't get to taze him, too.But I am curious as what the hell they were thinking.

And that is what happens. The police are never at fault. it is a citizen who is stupid enough to think they should defend their constitutional rights against a cop who is perfectly willing to ignore them. Many cops get pissed when a person does not blindly respect the authority of the cops over the rights we have guaranteed in the constitution. Getting arrested for not obeying a cops directions is absurd. It is necessary for citizens to stand up against the over reaching aggression of the bad cops to expose them. The cops don't clean their own nests. they protect bad cops. That is one of the problems ,the bad cops they protect taint them all.
Fight for your rights IN the courts, not on the street. That just ends up with your ass getting whipped. It takes two to tango.
Add two years and substitute "hancuffed" for "tazered" and you get something like this episode of The Dio Show.I started a Pit thread for that one at the time.At least they were able to use the dash cam against the officers.
While listening to Talk of the Nation a week or two ago about laws making it illegal to record cops (Link) the guest mentioned an incident in Prince George's County where a journalist was mistreated by cops. There were seven police cars which all had malfunctioning dash cams.![]()
Ugh. There really is at least one person to support the cops no matter what they do, isn't there? They could brutalize a three year old with a tazer and someone would be right there pointing out that some three year olds really are that strong and out of control and do we want a police officer to get killed in the line of duty, do we?
That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking - based on just the one minute video, yeah, this appears to be terrible, but we have nowhere near all the information of what happened here. That the cops were fired afterwards also indicates that they acted very badly (but apparently not criminally, if they were not charged), but again, we don't have the whole story.I followed the link, but I still very confused. What did she do to get tased? Did she do anything besides calling the cops for help?
I believe this happened and that the cops were some sadistic fucks, and yet I don't think I have all the relevant information.
The cop wasn't using it to get answers. He was using it to get her to stop resisting arrest so that she could be taken back and put in jail. This is wrong and bullshit. Cops are not allowed to use any force they choose to get you to answer a question.
And the only reason he arrested her was because she refused to answer a question. Therefore, the only reason she was tased was because she didn't answer the question.
And notice that these guys were FIRED. That means---THEY WERE WRONG! So shut the fuck up, you Taser apologists. You people who think it's morally correct to obey all sources of authority--well, you're essentially Nazis, so I have no problem wishing that you would get tasered repeatedly. Since apparently overloading your body with pain so severe that you pass out is not torture, and LESS that police brutality, I can, by the rules of this board, wish it upon you.

By idiot, slap-happy cops who wind up fired or forced to resign for fucking up?
I'm not American, I've never been to Georgia, but I really can't accept that people there want an innocent citizen tortured by twats like the ones in the OP.
God, I don't know this woman, I've never met her nor will I, I generally can't come up with much more than a 'meh' when it comes to RO threads and I have to say I'm completely disgusted.
I hope she sues and I hope she gets a very hearty payout.
There's four people in the story:I followed the link, but I still very confused. What did she do to get tased? Did she do anything besides calling the cops for help?
Uhhh. A police officer, that should be trained in restraint technique, needs to use a tazer on an unarmed 57 year old woman? And another police officer does it too?
Two supposedly trained men against an unarmed 57 year old woman? Ah huh. Um. No.
I know it
I don't hate cops. I just feel better when they're not around.
Guess I wasn't special enough (not that I could've passed the physical but a call-back would have been nice).Only very special people become cops and they always know what's best for you.

Even if she is lying, and the cop knows she is lying, there is no justification for tasering. That's essentially using torture to get information out of her.
Like nearly ALL the other cops did wrong threads, it boils down to this. When a COP TELLS you to do something, you DO IT. If you don't do, he is pretty much required to FORCE you to comply. To allow otherwise would defeat the very concept of a cop.
She didnt get tazed because she was lying. She got tazed because she ran and was resisting.
DO WHAT the cop says, take a ride ride downtown. Behave yourself. And if you think the whole thing was a crock of shit get hold of a lawyer, or the ACLU, the local paper, or Al Sharpton or something.
