R Ryan New member Jun 30, 2009 #2 Get a non shallow mount. Get a ported box if you listen to rap. Ported boxes are louder. Make sure the box size for one subwoofer is 1.79 cubic feet. That is what is recommended by Rockford Fosgate. Double that size if you are getting 2 subs.
