I'm 5'9 and I weigh 128lbs and I was told that I should be fine. Yeah. Jeff is totally right about the weight and passenger stuff. The Kawasaki Ninja is one of, if not the only, best motorcycles to start out on. If you're into riding sport bikes that is. It doesn't have TOO much power, but enough to make you feel excited standing next to it or even riding it! I'm actually getting a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250r this summer. It's going to be my first motorcycle period. People say that these bikes are, "TOO small...not enough power..." Blah blah blah. It's a beginner bike. And most people that hate on this bike are either higher engine riders or are just going off what they've heard and have never seen this beauty in person. They truly are fun bikes to own. But again, if you're going to be carrying a passenger or if you weigh 200+lbs, you might want to try a Ninja 500+. For a better fit and to get more power from the bike.
