Will a Boston Acoustics GT-50 amp work in 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Infinity System)?

I am looking to replace the 180 watt stock Infinity amp. I would assume the infinity speakers can handle that amp right?
My plan is to add Boston Speakers throughout the jeep, as I could afford them. But I was thinking a new 5 channel amp would at least let me throw in a woofer while making the Infinity speakers sound better for now.

Am I totally wrong here? I really have no idea... lol

Also I am not sold on Boston but have read good things (The new Jeeps sound great with their premium Boston systems).

If you are looking to replace everything, then I would suggest taking the stock amplifier out, and bypass it.

Then when you add new speakers and subwoofers in, you can just install that 5 channel amp your talking about. It would make for a cleaner setup.
