will a 500 RMS amp overpower two 450 RMS 12" l5 kicker sub woofers?

i am pretty sure the L5s can handle a lot more than they are rated.
at least thats what i hear about kickers.
do a little more research before you take my word but im pretty sure that you will be fine.
especially since its only 50 over.
btw... is the amp mono or multi channel?
it also depends on how you are wiring.

No, it's actually underpowering them.

450 x 2 = 900w RMS power handling for your subwoofers.

So find an amp around 900w RMS!
