will 4 gauge wires work for 1200 watt rms system ?

depending on the length of wire, 4 gauge would be the bare minimum for 1200 watts. I would suggest a 2 gauge for better current flow.
 
I have about 1500watts running 4ga. but i agree that if you can get a hold of 2 ga or 0ga then if u ever upgrade, you will have big enough wire. You are gonna need more then a 60amp fuse though i believe. Email me the type of amp and serial number for it and ill tell you what amp fuse you need.
 
4 gauge wire is recommended, the bigger the wire the better.. it allows for better current flow from the battery to the amp.
