I get out of this with some dignity? That was the going rate before we got married... I would kind of like to pretend this didn't happen but she's pretty pissed and I don't know what to do. I have about $25,000 put away for emergencies. Any ideas on how I can make this better?
 
Wow! I am not sure why you stated that "it was the going rate before you got married". Was she a hooker?

Either way, send her flowers to her work with an awesome card. State you apologize and adore her.
