What the hell is this "central market" you keep repeating?
And do you realize that people can still aquire illnesses and get hurt even though they eat well and exercise?
Or how about the fact that the air quality in some places can cause cancer and other illnesses?
You have a personal obligation to help the poor, but you don't have the right to force another person to pay for a poor man's operation. It has to come through voluntary means and not by coercive means.
You say "only a fool would trust anyone in power" - yet you want to give people in power a shitload of tax dollars so that they will fairly distribute it across 50 states and thousands of hospitals?
I say that anyone who wants these people to have MORE power is a fool.
Also, CUBA can get away with it, because they have a fucking DICTATORSHIP! If you go too many times, guess what? You find a bomb under your car on the way home. That's how they fucking regulate shit over there. You abuse it, you simply fucking DIE.
1. You are already paying for the uninsured. They just go to the emergency room where the cost is exponentially higher and they can't be denied.
2. It is the right thing to do. How can we say in this day and age that people don't have a right to see a doctor is beyond me. Are we not the 'best' country in the world? And yet we have poor people who can't get basic health coverage. It is pretty sad really.
Define patriotism... You mine as well be calling people communist for cryin out loud. I believe that if u are in the US u shouldnt be a free loader. Work for your damn living. Sorry for the 15%ish of ppl that cant afford it but this is the land of equal OPPORTUNITY! Yea the economy sux right now and the % is probably increasing. Make some alterations but National Health Care would def stress the type of economy we have created. More health facilities would def be a good start.
Hats off to Doctors tho, shiiiit 8 years of school and being blamed for ppls lives..
The ones benefiting are the corporations who write the regulations, and much of the suck in US healthcare is a result of HMO http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMO
i think he's saying that my friend shouldnt have died of lung cancer because her insurance wasnt good enough to get the coverage she deserved. instead of heading to chemo/radiation when they caught it in the early (and still treatable) stages she was sent on vacation.
my grandfather on the other hand when he was diagnosed had doctors jumping through hoops for him trying everything they possibly could because he had great insurance coverage, even though he was in a later term with the cancer.
while i love that my grandfather was treated so well, it wasnt until i saw how well he was treated that i realised my friend wasnt given the treatment she deserved.
