Why should our public servants (Sgt. Crowley) have to fear baseless accusations from

'educated' minorities? their job is difficult enough without catching flack from the racist President for merely responding to a Burglary

I notice you put quotations around the word "educated", as if its impossible for a minority to be so. Truth is, Gates is HIGHLY educated and accomplished. But that's not your REAL issue with him is it? If he were thuggish and poor, you'd criticize him for that. Why don't you just face the fact that YOU'RE THE RACISTS, and regardless of the issue, you'll never give a black person the benefit of the doubt. "merely responding to a burglary", yeah, because that usually consists of arresting prominent white citizens in there own home for raising their voice right?...lol. Go change someones oil or fix a flat Joe Bob, its to early for ignorance.

Some people seem to think that cops ought to put up with an unlimited amount of verbal abuse due to their "training." Such people really take them for granted. I'd like to see the people who believe they ought to just shrug off verbal abuse try to do police work for a week.

Why should our citizens have to fear unConstitutional arrests in their own homes from those who are supposed to 'protect and serve'?

The Black bloke was in his own home and on his own porperty, last i checked you yanks had a constitution that makes it legal for him or anyone else to yell and give "flack" to anyone they want on their own PROPERTY!!

that includes Policemen when they are acting like stupid prats, why didn't that idiot get back in his police car and drive away when he found out it was all a mistake? I thought it was a Policemens job to follow the laws and keep the peace, not arrest the innocent and waste everyones time in dropping the charges.

No, their job isn't that tough, they usually sit in their cars, write tickets and harass young kids. On the other hand some police do real work, and shouldn't have to deal with this racist president undermining them.

They don't. Police officers have to act in a professional manner and not arrest individuals, educated or not, under circumstances similar to the Gates' incident.

Gates had shown his identification and shown that he was not a burglar breaking into his own home. The police should have defused the situation, provided the requested name and badge number and left. Instead they arrested Gates and the controversy began.

Something about getting back at us for what our great great grandfathers might have done. I don't really understand it either. Then again, I don't hate people who have differant skin than me, so...

"public servants " have to learn to perfrom their duty professionally and learn carefully when they failed to do so..Instead this moron Crawly opened his filthy mouth...What did we hear ? Mumbling - bumbling lies from a clear idiot ? ...Then his police department have to apologize for an idiot...

I agree.. and keep in mind that next time, if a white officer hesitates for even a second because of this..the result will be the same, cries of racism.
