Why is there, or was there, a black spot on Google Sky and its Equivalents in

[Diggis Shobus]

the Constellation Orion? Why would a small spot be blacked out?? Meteor? Something else??

Just speculating.
I don't have a telescope. I am just wondering as I stumbled across this.
