Now firstly this is not a prejudice or racist question so please don't take it this way, it is something that has been bothering me and trying to make things clearer in my eyes, only serious answers please.
I grew up in a mostly white town and never had any bad thoughts about any race of people, I have always been very kind hearted to everyone. I moved to Albany, NY which is a much bigger city and now I find myself confused. There is so much crime in my area that I can't feel safe and I have noticed that the majority has been by black males, I am not making an assumption it is fact. Then in a newspaper article after a student from my school got shot in the head and his friends were mugged that this group of black young adults were rapping about how they got away with it that they enjoy killing and all this other gangster bulls***, then they all got sentenced to life and people were complaining? Saying snitches should die, screw the police, gangster life lives on, blah blah blah.
What is this? How can you be proud of what these guys did and why were the convicted proud of doing it? What makes the African-Americans thrive off of crime and murder?
Another story to show what I am trying to illustrate is more personal. The guy that lived above my boyfriend was Black I didn't care he was always nice to me so we invited him over for some brews then the next day we were robbed blind, everything of any value gone, and the guys mother said she knows it was him. I don't get it!!!!
I don't want to judge anyone by these things but I can't help it, I just can't wrap my head around how someone can steal, lie, drug deal, murder, and not even care. I don't like that I am now weary when a black man is around me, that was never who I was.
Just to clarify the reason his mom knew he robbed us because he had a wii in the house for less then a day and said it was none of her business why he had it. So it is safe to assume he stole it from the apartment since that was missing. Also yes if it was a white guy who robbed me after I invited him in I would be weary of him, but that wasn't the case. I'm not saying that only black people steal it is just more common and that is why I was wondering why this is so.
Just one more thing. I am not making this observation simply by the robbery I was putting that in there for an example, it is the whole culture in itself. There is more violence and crime in black neighborhoods. I am not grouping all black people I am not ignorant, I am just saying more often than not crimes are committed by that specific race. I am using my brain here and what I have come to the conclusion is I just can't fathom how people in the same world can be so different on something simple as skin color, it brings about a whole different attitude and that is what baffles me.
