Why is the American culture so immoral?

The black culture is like a plague in my opinion. Everywhere it gos it attracts civilized people.
Is there anything wrong with having morals? Why is it in the 40,s and 50,s things were nice. People actually cared about the way they dressed. Yes there was crime, but nothing like it is today. Drug use was nothing like it is today. Hell in most places you didn't even have to lock your doors. People back then had morals, and where very civilized.

Even the black culture of not 50,60,s and 70,s produce some good things. But then you have the rise of rap music, and heavy drug use. Today people seem to crave marijuana, and cocaine. The rap cultures acts sort of like a plague. Everywhere it gos people of all races seem to love it. Not only that they start to dress like rappers too, and speak like them. Rap has done nothing but promote materialism.Its OK to own things, but to want for or five cars is idiotic.


So how did the American culture go from the peace of 1940,s and 50,s to the turmoil of 2009?
I blame the rap culture, and the hippy movement of the 1960s.
 
This smells like a racist rant. It's so obvious by the way that you singled out Black people! I'll have you know, that where I live, all colors under the rainbow is getting arrested every day! Today I just read about Asian school kids, beating up other Asian school kids because they were Chinese or Japanese. And the one who beat them up is of another Asian group. Then there's the white boys who are breaking into neighbors homes in the suburbs. Stealing money and jewelry, slashing tires just for the heck of it, ripping off people's mailboxes, beating up old people, stealing cars to joyride, ETC! And these bratty kids have folks with money! You can blame rap or whatever you want, but it doesn't make it so. In this society today, probably YOUR kids and other kids of all different colors and shades are just buck wild PERIOD! Blame the parents for some of that. Allowing the kids to curse in front of them. Allowing the kids to talk back to them. Allowing the kids to come in when they want to come in. Buying them whatever they want because you you don't want them to be mad with you. lying for them, and on and on. I see parents of ALL colors doing this! White girls are pregnant without being married just like other girls are. I see big bellies on them all everywhere. And they still dress like they are not even pregnant with tube tops on! The mothers see them, and don't say jack. They look disgusting and nasty too.
 
sh!t its not just that theres so much stuff that has gone down that has made society the sh!t hole it is today and no hippies dont have anything to do with it.

I have never seen so many white people that try to act like black people with all the rap shit and the slang they use CUZ MAN, YA BROTHER, it is so glorified it makes me sick.
 
Its all the way you look at it. sure things have gotten worse, but they also have gotten better. Even bad things are better. And I know this is in physics, but every action does in fact have an equal and opposite reaction. as things get better, it makes the bad stuff more noticeable. You know? And people in this generation don't care about others. It has become every man for themselves. Well there were people like that in the past, but more so today.
 
The world is a living organism, existence always moves, grows and changes, life is dynamic and we have information about every square centimeter of the globe available to everyone in a matter of minutes. It may be possible that the same things are going on as always have you are just made aware of more... oh and Elvis was considered on par with Satan in the 50s, and Jazz was the undoing of Civilization in the 20s to the 40s, kids dressed shamelessly in the 50s, you were pehaps one of them and found it attractive, but the kids now actually spend a great deal more on clothing and much more time on their looks. and if memory serves White colonial culture caused "Black culture" and WWII occurred in the 40s, the Korean war in the 50s
