Why is my car's CD/DVD player suddenly not working?

depends how Handy you are, sounds like the sensor thinks theres a cd already in there (you didn't put 2 in by mistake did you) anyway, if your handy, pull unit out so you can take cover off and find sensor and see if its blocked, jammed , disconnected etc.

else...to the shop it goes!
 
I barely use this CD/DVD player. Earlier today I played a CD with no problems, but an hour later, nothing would work in the drive. I have a Jensen CD-DVD car player -- model VM9311TS. I cannot insert a CD/DVD into the slot, and the receiver does not pull it in as it used to. When I push the eject button, I can hear a spinning sound. Is there something I can do to repair this problem? Thanks for your help.
