Why is Don't Ask Don't Tell being repealed so easily and swiftly now?

You people are so dumb it hurts

I'm suggesting that our government is so corrupt that the only legislation that can actually go through with such ease are things that do not affect bottom lines.

So corporate involvement really has nothing to do with it since there was no need for corporate involvement initially and now there just is no corporate involvement.

Sounds more like public opinion has changed on the subject.

That's only a small part of it. If companies could figure out a way to make money off of there not being gays in the military then we wouldn't even have don't ask don't tell.

must be true, otherwise corporate interests would force its closure!

same reason the laces on my sneaks are red......because corporate interests didn't like my white ones and forced the change.

I know some straights in the military that are homophobic and mad as hell.

edit: and it should have been acceptable from the beginning. But american intellect is lacking and our pseudo christian morals are strong.

let me get this straight....

pre-2010 allowing gays to serve in the military must of effected the bottom line so it never passed

2010- now it doesnt effect the bottom line so it passed....

got it...

You should take that as your question is fucking stupid and I'm laughing at you

umad

This thread was neither a joke, nor funny, nor anything but just terrible.

I generalize; it saves time.

Yet you consistently fight to make that same government bigger and more powerful.

wtf is going on in this thread

I thought it couldn't get more confusing after the first post.
