we see it at school, parties, and sometimes at church. What can we do to change that?

The fact that churches exist and religions exist is evidence of the desire of people to segregate others.

Humans are very territorial. It was probably a good survival mode for 80,000 years. Now it is a detriment.

Hopefully we will learn to control it someday. First, though, we have to be able to admit that it is a present human failure mode and participating in it is not something to be proud of.

It's not neccesarily a bad thing...it's actually very natural. We tend to gravitate towards what we are comfortable with. "Birds of a feather flock together" I doubt we'd be able to change it but if we could I suppose we should try and learn about other cultures.

I go to an all Spanish church and understand nada of it, if they didn't translate through an ear piece -- sorry about your theory !! What are you doing about it ?? May God Bless you --

Because people want to be around who they are used to, who they are comfortable with...

It's actually normal, but what we can do is force our selves to walk over to the other group and say "hi."
