Why do some people think that rich people work harder than poor and also assume that

poor aren't educated? I'm working poor and I have two jobs, one full time and one part time. My full time job pays only 12.50/hour. Also, I have two bachelors degrees. One time at work I was mentioning how the higher ups in the company have it made compared to us and somebody said. "They worked hard, and they have educations to pay for". So thusly it was assumed that I don't work hard and that I don't have an education to pay for. Why all these assumptions about the working poor?
obviously it all boils down to WHO you know. People get good jobs NOT because they deserve them but because they KNOW someone.
dawky: then explain ME and READ the question. I am very educated, super flexible and both willing and capable to do whatever it takes (morally and legally) to succeed. Thusly your theory is proven wrong.
 
It's a stereotype that makes logical sense, but that doesn't mean it's true, and I know for a fact it's not always true. Unfortunately, people work on stereotypes because they're like shortcuts in thinking you understand people.
