Rupert Murdoch knows how to make money. He's just the newest in a line of corrupt media-controlling billionaires who have slowly ground our country down to the rich-poor wasteland/paradise it is today. Here's an example from history.
Marijuana was criminalized in the early 1900s because William Randolph Hearst (Patty Hearst's grandfather) successfully equated marijuana use with lazy Negroes in his huge line of newspapers.
The stereotype stuck, and he successfully furthered his agenda by using the public to effectively ban most of his competition (hemp was used to make newspapers, among many other things in the textile industry; the same reason that fear campaigns have been run against marijuana to keep it illegal ever since).

A better question simply is why are they correct and reporting the truth? The main stream media and simply refuses to report on things they don't agree with.

Apparently where a person comes from is more important than how they report.
The people you name all have much higher rating than the main stream media people, because people realize they are totally partisan.
ABC CBS and CNN have all lost major shares of listeners, because people are tired of their lies.
