Look, pixar aren't doing this just to mess with you, i'm sure they are dealing with vagaries of the international film market that just make stuff like this inevitable. I'm sure each new market opens its own can of worms in terms of distribution/scheduling.
As for piracy, you have to be pretty stupid to not be able to wait a week and ruin the experience for yourself by watching some dvd rip or even a telecine instead of seeing it crisp on the big screen the first time. A week goes by like a snap unless you are a lifeless obsessive.
And as i'm sure its been said already, there have been other filmis that opened earlier in the uk. So really, theres no reason to gripe. The first harry potter premiered in the uk a full 10 days before the us. The latest one showed up in japan a day earlier than in the uk. Who knows why..who really cares honestly.
