Why do Pixar always take the p***

Thats nothing, japan got Wall-e like 6 months after the us. Look, pixar aren't doing this just to mess with you, i'm sure they are dealing with vagaries of the international film market that just make stuff like this inevitable. I'm sure each new market opens its own can of worms in terms of distribution/scheduling.

As for piracy, you have to be pretty stupid to not be able to wait a week and ruin the experience for yourself by watching some dvd rip or even a telecine instead of seeing it crisp on the big screen the first time. A week goes by like a snap unless you are a lifeless obsessive.

And as i'm sure its been said already, there have been other filmis that opened earlier in the uk. So really, theres no reason to gripe. The first harry potter premiered in the uk a full 10 days before the us. The latest one showed up in japan a day earlier than in the uk. Who knows why..who really cares honestly.:P

For the above i'd guess UK Summer holidays is partly the cause. With US schools closing mid/end of May, June release are right in US school holidays, whereas schools only close here 3rd/last week of July.

As for the others, no excuse really.

This goes both ways. US release dates of UK productions are delayed too.

Wonder if Aardman Animations would appreciate this nonchalant philosophy of media theft when it comes to inpatient Americans?

I hadn't realised the wait was so big between the US release and the UK release of the films I will go to the pics to see Toy Story 3 it is kinda hard to not google it though cos I have heard so much good stuff that I wanna watch it now. Also where are they gonna promote it cos Tom Hanks usually goes to JR and doesnt he end before the end of July
