I am around a lot of educated black people and I am one myself. We don't call each other uncle toms! Where I'm from every black person I know wants the other person to succeed and become educated. Uncle Tom means a black person who forgot he was black, basically does not associate himself with blacks are anything they do! Uncle Tom is a black person who doesn't like himself.
