Everytime I stumble across an automotive video on Youtube, there's always the comments of Corvette ZR1 is the best car and Mustang is better than any European car. There's some truth in that to a certain extent. But my main question is why does almost every American like big capacity V8s? Why not a V10 or a V12? Only the Dodge Viper is a V10, the rest of the supercars and sportscars that America makes are V8, and most of them are supercharged. Why not a twin-turbo V6 or a naturally aspirated V12? I get it that a V8 has a muscle car sound and stuff, but high shriek wail of a V10 or the angry savagery of sound the V12 makes is also great to hear.
Why do Americans like big capacity V8s so much?
