Why do African Americans glorify those "kingpins" and gangbangers in jail and...

...forget about those? That have degrees and worked hard for their place in society. I've seen many blacks say stuff like "free lil eazy" or "free fdot the ghost" and "bigups to all the homies doing that time" and yet no one says "bigups to all the homies that became engineers". Why is it they would rather glorify thugs than intelligent people and in white society it's the opposite?

seriously this is why i like white men.. it is very true and im ashamed my race looks upon these men as if they are "gods" and accomplished something..

thats why i do not associate with such people.

Everything you say is true of course, although extremely unPC. Have you been called a racist yet today?

Some of the people I look up to most in our society are African -Americans that went against the status quo and became successful without embracing all the negative stereotypes that pervade their culture... Such as playing off the race card, thug lifestyle, etc... And then used that success to help spread the message you are trying to spread.

People like Will Smith, Bill Cosby and especially Martin Luther King Jr. are heroes of their people, fighting what seems to be a losing battle against the propaganda machine that is American media. People like Jay Z and 50 cent make money off the strife and death of their own people. People like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson make money off the continuation of tension between the races. It is sad.

A lot of times these guys in the pin were the first wealthy people we as african americans could identify with. They became our heroes early on. Some african american kids had their best Thanksgiving and Christmas financed by the local drug dealer. We are taught early on NOT to value education and how NOT to participate in society the same was as white american does. It's an act of rebellion.

It comes from lack of an identity, self love, and pride of our race. It is a fall out from slavery.

let me ask you this have you seen an EDUCATED african american support a thug? trust me man educated support educated, thugs support thugs.

whites praise educated people more because there is more blacks in the system than them.
