WHy did Michelle Obama forget about military families?

When she was campaigning she kept telling us how she was going to take care of mil families and have them as one of her "platforms". Just another empty campaign scam?

Your right, Laura Bush wore k mart shoes, and suits from the salvation army. You people are daffy! She is the first lady, my goodness....sore losers here.

I can think of a few publicized events Mrs. Obama has done for military families since moving into the White House. Did you expect her to spend all day every day on this issue? First Ladies never do. I can hardly remember seeing Mrs. Bush although she had a literacy campaign. Mrs. Obama is also working on health and fitness issues for children.

I don't know why anybody believes anything a politician or their spouse says. They will say and do anything to get in office and she was smart to get on the good side of military families to help her husband.

I don't know about Michelle Obama, but I can tell you the that simpleton Sean Hannity promised to be waterboarded and donate all the money raised to military families. Ah, but again, he shoots his mouth off.

*Sigh* Well, here it comes from a military brat. Think of military familes/the military in general as an African baby/toddler. Now, think of ambitious politicians/family of ambitious politicians as an actress. Every now and then, the actress takes a camera crew over to Africa so that she can be photographed holding an African baby. Then she drops the baby, goes home, and doesn't even know its name. Get the metaphore...it's actually quite good, if I say so myself.
Advocating military families cannot fail as a positive publicity stunt-no one can dispute the fact that it is a good cause. But it can only be newsworthy for so long-at which point, the actress drops the baby and goes home to find a new project. A few newspaper appearences, visits, tours of bases, yada yada...nothing. And because the military is disciplinarian, it cannot even call these people out by itself.
Peace

J-J-Honey, Army hospital Walter Reed treats all branches, including Air Force families that have Tricare who need outpatient checkups. My family lived in DC. If you were actually in the military, you would know that. My guess would be you have never seen the inside of a base. Pity, they are actually nice places to grow up...you make friends, and learn how not to troll around on the internet pretending to be someone that you are not, before being blown cold open by a statement made in an ignorance that your internet persona would never have demonstrated. That's all I will say, dearest.
