My friend almost has his right split and every time he kicks, grande batma', he struggles to kick higher than 90 degrees. Why is this? He has been dancing for 3 years but shouldn't his kicks be higher if he almost has his split. I almost have my splits aswell but I can kick to my head, well considering that I have been dancing for 11 years. Could it be his leg muscles aren't strong enough? If so, how could he improve this?
