...Program? It is fact, that by the year 2041 - social security will no longer be available.
Don't know what social security is? Here is a little history.
The social security program was developed and imposed in the 1930's that required ALL American citizens to participate in. A percentage of your paycheck would be automatically deducted and placed in an account. When a person retires, usually at or around the age of 65, no longer able to work or simply wanting to retire - that person would receive a paycheck from the US Government. Basically to ensure that the elderly don't live in poverty.
As of today's date, the United States Government is borrowing money from this account at the rate of 10 million dollars annually. The US Government is NOT paying this money back.
This simply means that after 30-45 years of YOU working in the work force, the US Government borrowing your retirement money - YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO LIVE OFF OF.
So, you are not worried about it now? Saying to yourself - that is 30-50 years from now, why worry about it.
The time to educate yourself is now. Don't take my word for it. Google the words "Social Security" see what you find out yourself.
Why isn't anyone else having a voice in this?
