Why are the more educated statistically less religious?

Well, as you pass through your educational years.
People begin to be exposed to new ideas, and theories; which in turn them confuse or ultimately strip them away from God and their faith (if they were believers to start with)
But not all people lose the fight. I know many who were strong believers and they are very educated, but have learned to maintain themselves in the Lord.

Interesting Christian concept!!!
TRANSLATION: educated people learn critical thinking and tend to think "outside the box". Few of the "inflexible ones" resist the "temptation" and continue living "inside the box", no matter how educated they are.

Maybe not ALL religions -- but many of them discourage skepticism, which really helps in education and learning more.
