I understand the concept of Ignorance is Bliss but Geez! Look if you are that AFRAID, and your children are that soft in the head that one speech by the President could cause them to dissolve then by all means hide your children. Deny them an educational opportunity. McDonalds will always have a place for them.
The President is speaking directly to youth about applying themselves in school, staying in school, getting good grades and stepping up to be productive. Now if staying in school and getting good grades is that horrible to you then your children don't belong in school with children who are staying in school and getting good grades. It is okay because those kids that do well in school will be in position to pay your kids to clean their toilets either at their workplace or home, maybe both when they're grown.
President Bush (1st) and President Reagan spoke to youth and you know what we survived. Then again maybe not. Were you in school listening to them when they spoke? Is that were the fear and cowardice came from?
You make your kids blow off the importance of education and fill their heads with poison and someday they will be novelty for upwardly mobile Chinese. Someday it will be all the rage to have an American houseboy or maid. Not too bright but they sure can cook and clean!
