Seriously, I don't want anti "big oil" answers, I want truthful reasons behind our gas prices. First, it makes no sense to solely lay blame on one entity. What is the combination responsible for the rising prices?
Saudi greed, red tape via our government taxing "big oil" through the roof (oil companies are making 10 cents on the dollar versus our fed government making 35 cents on the dollar), the lack of buidling new refineries, China's newly booming dependency on foreign oil that we too are dependent on??? What are the reasons because I'm fed up with all the G-- D--- "big oil" crap. There is so much more to it, but I can't get it straight... and please include things to back up the points, but not conspiracy type garbage, actual facts that have no general bias, just passing along the facts.
Thanks.
Thanks to most... VERY intersting/insightful answers that weren't all the hyped up anti "big oil" garbage I've had to listen to lately...
And by the way "heartless", my big ol' SUV may chug a lug, but it's probably cleaner than most vehicles on the road (it's a 2007), not to mention, I PAY for that gas, and the per gallon taxes, and the registration, so that's pretty irrelevent to my question (your anti nice vehicle comment)... not to mention, a mini van doesn't get much better mileage we currently have three kids and another due later this year, so we can't have anything smaller. Not to mention, it's just a safe, clean vehicle.
Not ranting, just responding...
