My property will be protected by private competitive insurance and law firms on the market. Just like any other commodity is exchanged on the market (and leads to increases in quality and reduction in price), law and order will be a marketable commodity.

Combine that with freedom of association and now you have the power to expel unwanted vagrants and criminals from society.

All of your 'problems' can be solved without any need for a firm that has a monopoly on coercion.
 
So it would not state up front who would not be served, to avoid looking blatantly racist. People would have to fill their cart and wait in line before they were refused service--then they would receive the racism--unless there was a bouncer at the door. Should a little corner food store or walmart be allowed to operate like that? Yes, in a racist nation. Or we could have humane anti-discrimination laws.
 
Obviously that cow is intentionally asking loaded questions so it can pin racism on him.
 
So if the government doing the encroachment is closer, smaller, and more likely to be corrupt (minus the federal watchdog), you're somehow safer?

So if an indian walks into a store to buy a quart of milk...waits in line...hands over his money and gets: "sorry but we don't serve indians". You support that? Yes or no.
 
You must be a Libertarian philosopher. Optional store hours are not offensive unless you change them everytime you see a black person.

Do I support racism? No.
Do I support the right of people not to do business with people they don't want to do business with? Yes.
Even if they're racist? Yes. You don't forfeit your rights just because I think you're a piece of shit.

I also support the right of the consumer to take his business elsewhere and support people who are not scumbags.

Without a secondary tier of compulsion, that insurance company will be bought out by the nuclear power-plant that wants to dump strontium-90 into the ground, giving generations of your offspring all sorts of thyroid and 'cognitive' problems until it can be proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, exactly how that strontium fucked everyone. Which could take decades, and is of little concern to the executive at the plant who doesn't live anywhere near the dumping and will be retired by the time it does.

Seriously. You seem like a smart guy at times, but buying and selling law and order doesn't work. We have a word for that now. It's called corruption.

Hell, try this one this Sunday. If you are white, go into an "all black church" and see if you don't "feel" a tension in the air. Same thing if you are black, go into an "all white church" and see how you feel. And that is about the BEST reaction you're gonna get.

There are plenty of stores ALREADY in down town Baltimore (and no, I'm not talking Harbor Place) where if you are white, you really aren't "welcome".

Racism, or should I more appropriately say, "Self Segregation" is alive and well. Hell, even in the more Liberal parts of Maryland you typically see people dating and marrying people of their own race, even in "Progressive Planned Communities" such as Columbia.

Sorry people, especially you Liberals, but that is just the nature of humans. They feel the most comfortable with people who look, act, dress, etc just like you.





Or RENT it. I'm sorry, if I was going to rent my house to someone, I'd charge another $50 a month to anyone who was "Indian". If I'm going to have to pay someone big dollars when they move out to come in and "clean the smell out" from Curry, I'm damn site going to collect the money to pay for it in addition.

You seem to be missing that side of the equation. I bet they could advertise on Black Entertainment Television and host the Miss Black America contests and have ex-members of the Congressional Black Caucus on their board of directors.
 
One is a state government acting unconstitutionally. One is a private businessman conducting his business as he sees fit. The two are very different situations.

Like I said, I'm totally opposed to racism. But I'm even more opposed to the government unconstitutionally expanding its power and intruding on the lives of the common folk.
