Who is Gram Parsons referring to when he talks about the kickers?

That well could be country fans, as in sh*t kickers.
As he has been dead for over 30 years I imagine the only one who could tell you is Emmylou Harris.

That line "out with the truckers and the kickers and the cowboy angels"- I don't understand what/who he means by the kickers. Can anybody clarify this for me? If so, I'd be very grateful.
