OK, we all know that Bruce Lee couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. He weighed all of 140 pounds and never had a fight. He was all hype and marketing, and no substance.

But can you say the same about Bas Rutten?

After all, Bas is all hype and marketing too, with very few actual accomplishments.

His "Pancrase" is barely a step above professional wrestling. The season's winners are pre-determined by marketing experts, not by the results of the fights. Being the "King of Pancrase" is like being the winner of Wrestlemania -- meaningless. Bas never had the skills to compete in K1, even though he talks a good game about being an accomplished kickboxer.

The UFC championship was a joke. Bas bought it. He was demolished in the title bout and the corrupt "judges" gave him the fight anyway. This is back before the UFC was under the auspices of state athletic commission(s). It was as un-regulated as professional wrestling and anyone who saw the fight knows that Kevin Randellman won easily.

And for Bas to write a big BJJ book? Another joke. He's never known anything about ground fighting, he's always been a kick boxer. How can a guy who never fought on the ground (successfully) write a big book of submission wrestling moves? What a joke.

So, who's the bigger BSer, Bas or Bruce?
