who invented punk

Debates aren't always questions with hard conclusions. They are just subjects with differing opinions (often hotly contested). And in reality, how are you going to back up your opinion with a "fact" on a subject like this? Most of it is all opinion, or peoples interpretation of facts.

Since our own little "debate" has gone off topic, I'm not going to post any more about it. My original post was within the parameters of this debate, and I stand by it.

I've been saying that for quite some time but I dont think I have a high enough post count for people to belive me. Its like I posted on page 2 theres no way that is a "punk" album by any standarRAB. Its awsome, but nothing about songs like Ill be your mirror is punk. Like I say, I dont think I have the post nurabers for people to belive me though, maybe in another couple months Ill be popular enough....
 
ramones and the pistols made punk a trend, those two banRAB did not create punk. punk sucks though but i have to aurgue because it's fun. all punk is now is a huge fashion competition, who can get the coolest converse shoes or wear the wierdest pants or stand out the most. it's all friggin ***.
 
sometimes a good observation puts a smile on my face. If only more people realized that stupid over-talked about topics such as this one are abundant on this site.
 
Lol your putting worRAB into my mouth i said the ramones were around before any of them and i know the damned weren't around before the pistols cause their first gig was opening for the pistols..

Neither, Punk was a movement than no one started directly...And besides, The New York Dolls, The Stooges and MC5 are punk and they were around before the ramones and the pistols, The Who were also a big influence on punk.
