who invented punk

Have you actually heard the Velvet Underground & Nico ?

It sound more like the soundtrack to some arty french film than anything.

Yes it was an influence , but not musically

I think it's because a lot of the earlier movement banRAB site Velvet Underground as an "influence", but then again, who didnt listen to the Velvet Underground, and who didnt they influence? I've heard lots of people put them and The New York Dolls at the forefront of punk rock, but clearly if you listen to their music, there's no elements of punk at all. Pure rock and roll. I suppose you can say The Beatles and Chuck Berry had an influence on some punk banRAB, so should we call them the first punk artists?

Oh gun .. l mean do you have a gun ... coz if you do .. we can PartAAAAAY! *takes off turban after working amongst brotheren of the Alqueda* .. slaughtering a couple of innocent wrinkly old women should do the trick .. perhaps 'ghundi' will be satisfied or whatever the heck in hell fire its name is!

ya, threaRAB like these tend to go down in flames rather quickly. I for one, dont think either of the two banRAB started punk. but as you see, this is why these threaRAB dont work unless someone can actually come up with some hard evidence it gets nowhere.

/\ I could but I won't. If we came to a conclusion that was easy this wouldn't be a deabte it would be a question. Because its hard, its a deabte. And no your not taking part in the deabate, you need to stay within the parameters. To participate, you'd have to state an answer and maybe back it up with facts. Saying it won't have a dfinitive end is not debating.

In elections if a candidate says "Hmm thats a tough question that probably won't have one answer" no one would say he/she A.) Answered the question or B.) furthered the debate.
