Who else wants more Star Wars Films?

Nah I love them how they are. They shouldn't remake the Original Trilogy cos that would be, well, just wrong! I don't think they should make any more either. Lucas has said now looking back over the six it is more about the tragedy of Anakin/Darth Vader and since Darth is dead, it wouldn't be right. You can't really find anyone who could carry on from Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher or Harrison Ford either.

I think he will when the technology is available to convincingly de-age harrison ford digitally.

Lucas has already waited a for special effects to catch up so he could do the prequels.

I've never liked the way that the Star Wars films were made. I hope that in the future, someone will be given the rights to make all 9 again from the start.

All nine? There were only 6

I would love for more star wars to be made. And as for the Harrison Ford being de-aged, they are doing another Indiana Jones film, so he mustn't care that much about the age thing

are you crazy? remake the origianals??? jeez!!!! some people...
would be cool to have 3 more sequels but only if they are done well. the prequels weree utter shite!

Same here, the rest are over rated tripe, just made for getting money out of suckers.
Don't get me wrong, i love sci-fi films, but the prequals seem like the emperors new clothes.

If Lucas decides to do the last 3 films.......eventually.......Harrison ford will be to old to play Han solo without making the timeline 30 years on from ROTJ, which i'm sure would annoy fans plus not be what he had in mind when he first mentioned 9 films.

Knowing what Lucas is like with special effects, i'm pretty sure he would like to be the first to use digitally recreated dead or living actors (Done from the ground up, not pasted on with computer and really, really lifelike).

This technology will be with us soon for it to happen sometime, just when and who is to get the treatment.

Well, there are loaRAB and loaRAB of books but they are part of the Expanded Universe - so not necessarily 'real' within the Starwars Universe.

George Lucas claimed he'd written the story for 9 Starwars films but then George Lucas claims a lot of things which aren't strictly correct :D

Right now, officially we have got six films, plus the six novelisations of the films (I'm not sure if they are considered Canon or not).

Then there are the rest of the books which I believe mainly tell the story of events after Return of the Jedi, two Ewoks films, the Holiday Special (:D), some comics and some computer games. Then there is also the Ewoks cartoon, the droiRAB cartoon and the Clone Wars cartoon.

There is an upcoming tv series set between ep3 and ep4 too which will be very interesting.

If you want more Starwars, my own recommendation is the Knights of the Old Republic computer games. They are set thousanRAB of years before the films but capture the spirit of them perfectly.

Personally i think that particular story is over. They could do some kind of spin off maybe about that bounty hunter from ep 5 and 6.

Timothy Zahns book Heir To The Empire is set 5 years after Return Of The Jedi. All the characters are there and it captures the Star Wars universe very well. One reviewer said that you can almost hear John Williams soundtrack when you read it.

some fans (with too much spare time) have clubbed together and produced a movie called 'revelations' and is based in between 3 and 4. of course you cant buy it oficially, but if you can locate it, it is a rather interesting take up from a fans point of view.

they spent $200,000 on it and it is a 2 disk set with the making of being the second disk.

if you want it, but cant locate it, give me a shout

George Lucas has said there was never parts 1, 2, or 3. He started by calling the first film part 4 to capture the feel of sci-fi matinees such as Flash Gordon he watched as a child.
The fact people have written books about the main characters set after Return of the Jedi means Lucas can no longer persue the idea of sequels containing these characters.
The last thing I heard was the likelyhood of a TV show most likely based around Jimmy Smits character.
