Right now i have 4 alpine type r's, with two mrp-m1000 amps. i am running 500 watts rms to each sub. I want to start to enter competitions though, and i heard that i should change subs from the type r. what do you think i should upgrade to, or do you think the type r's will do ok for small competitions. people have recommended the rockford fosgate t1 series, or the kicker l7's. i have also been told to go mtx. but i am just not sure which way to go. i like alpine, but i keep hearing people say that alpine is more of a sq line of subs than spl.the budget is not really a probably though i prefer not to spend a crazy amount of money. so do you think the type r is ok for now, or do i defiantly need to switch.
