Which scene in which movie shocked you the most?

Ghost ship..................that scene coming so early on in the film was completely unexpected (by me) and I sat there frozen watching it!

Then there are the classic shock moments, like the shooting of Jack in LA Confiential which has been mentioned, and the second we realise that kaizer Soze (SP) was in the room with the cop the whole time in The Usual Suspects and he had let him go :D That was awesome, as we looked at the board and the cup and realised at the same time as the cop :D

Got a few most shocking scenes.

Faces of death 4 would be 1st with a guy being hung drawn and quartered, pretty sick.

Cannibal Ferox- woman being impaled on meathooks by her breasts and left 2 hang all day.

Day of the dead-Captain rhodes being ripped in half by a zombie army, great gore scene.

The Ruins- the blonde chick cutting herself open and ripping the vines out, that 1 made me squirm lol

Another Cannibal Ferox moment - guy gets tied up,trousers down and his private parts hacked off with machete, the cannibal then eats his privates right in front of him lol and leaves him to bleed out.

Martin I just found out quite recently that until 1958 we have a hospital/asylum in the heart of Glasgow, orignally known as the Magdalene too, shocking stories about how mercury was used to burn out VD in the women and girls, causing them to lose their hair teeth, burns and some their lives.. awful stories, if you want to read it comes under The Lock, they were all over Britain in major cities..

Hostel Part II when the woman is being tortured and all the blood is dripping onto other woman who is doing the torturing. First time I have been disgusted by a film.

Oh the 'Bathory' scene, plus it was to the nicest character out of all of them in both Hostel movies, shame :( Well she was the only character I liked out of the whole lot of them.

I think it's known more as the Head on a stick scene.

Were they wearing halloween masks.? Cos i seen one and they wore halloween masks with snakes and stuff coming out of it..and the father was shouting in the phone to take their masks off..Me likes watching em, but i scared lol

to true - i still recommend Wolf Creek as a horror to frienRAB - as its one of them more recent psychology disturbing movies that actually make me me feel "uncomfortable" -
most modern horrors do not quite cut the mustard anymore.

THe Prince Of Darkness (Carpenter) still has a gritty, uncomfortable feel to it when viewed.

Not many films shock me now but when I was younger, I watched "The Fog". Watching it now, the film itself isn't particularly scary, but the scene where a dead person on a hospital slab comes back to life, I nearly shat my pants!
