Which scene in which movie shocked you the most?

That was fab, I love how he acted it, the shock and then obviously trying to figure out something to say before he died that would result in Smith's downfall.

I'll agree with the underwater scene in Jaws - it's rare an entire audience jums at the same time.

Also the denoument of the Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover - I couldn't eat kebabs for weeks

When i was a child i happened to come across the scene in Unforgiven when the prostitute gets her face slashed several times with a knife. Scared me half to death.

In Bruges
when Ken jumps off the tower.

I literally gasped in horror and sat with my jaw at my knees for about 5 minutes- and I sobbed!:o

Cant pick one, so here are a couple of mine:

Ghost Ship
The opening sequence. It involves a number of passengers dancing on a boat, a sinister unseen man, and a razor sharp wire....

28 Weeks Later
The scene where Alice unintentionally infects Don. It involves a psychotic, blood spewing man, a helpless woman restrained on a stretcher, and a whole lotta blooRABhed... :(

Didn't shock me, just repulsed me and sickened me.
For shock it was probably the scene in Chopper where he cuts his own ears off with a scissors... considering it's a true story it shocked me more than nonsense like Saw or Hostel.

My uncle once locked me and my sister in a room until we finished watching the original Robocop on video (I must have been 7 or 8). The bit where Emil (Paul McCrane) crashed into the vat of chemicals and his skin had melted. That was bad enough before he got run over and splattered everywhere. :D
