Which scene in which movie shocked you the most?

Black Hawk Down, when one of the enemy soldiers was literally blown to smithereens.

The part in The Forgotten when the cop was abducted and sucked into the sky. Made me jump. And the scene where the alien's face changed from human form while he was shouting "you will forget!".

Ray Liotta eating his own brain in Hannibal.
 
The part where Ichi cuts his tongue off in Ichi the Killer. Or maybe that moment in Ghost Ship at the beggining. Actually that was a cool scene :D
 
I always remember "diggy diggy diggy" (or whatever she says) from that film. The Japanese go all out with their disturbing films.



Sometimes realism is more disturbing than grusome fiction. Knowing that things like that actually happened makes it a lot worse.

I am still disturbed at Dancer In The Dark. It shows how one person's self-righteousness can lead to another vulnerable persons end. The story just got sadder and sadder, to the point where you feel slightly depressed.

The last 5 minutes of The Usual Suspects

Two scenes in The Others. I won't go into detail for those who haven't seen it, but the first one is the scene with the photograph. What it revealed, I'd already guessed, but it was still shocking. And the next 'twist' at the end, which I didn't see coming (although looking back it was fairly obvious!). Still, very cleverly done.

I'll also second whoever mentioned that scene in the Green Mile. It being done 'professionally' so to speak is still horrific to watch, even if it's only in films, but the scene in which it's done 'unprofessionally' (and that's putting it lightly) was hard to bare. I think we're talking about the same thing anyway! :)

Its not 2 bad but would have worked better as a stand alone movie,that scene u mention was freaky though lol
 
for me its the vanishing where its all dark and you hear a lighter click on and the dude's (i'm pretty sure its keifer "24" sutherland) trapped in an underground box and he starts screaming :eek: im claustrophobic n that scared the pants off me!! i love horror films n dont usually get scared watching them but watching that freaked me out :o
 
Yes I've only seen 'the Devils' once and that was once too often - horrible, vile, cruel and shocking film even though it's supposed to be an arty effort from Ken Russell......they can keep it:(
 
the scene near the end in manon des sources when the old man realises that the young man he persecuted in order to steal his farm, and who died, turned out to be the son he never knew that he had; and the eyes reveal the colossal overwhelming guilt and pain.....


and in jurassic park when dickie attenborough starts off the movie in a scottish accent, then can't be bothered, and does the second part of the film in an english accent:)

in escape to victory, when sylvester stallone is recaptured and returned to camp, and makes a signal on his head supposedly to indicate "hermes the messenger" (ie, he was carrying a message) and the audience was supposed to say oh yeah sly stallone is a scholar of the greek classics RAB

the part in a matter of loaf and death when it turns out she's a murderess

the bit in the fly when they are arm-wrestling, and the bloke's arm breaks....yuk

the bit in robin hood prince of thieves when maid marian is played by a bronx italian actress :confused: hey - lord loxley - just fugeddaboudit
 
I'm far too squeamish for the horror stuff, so I'll have to stick to shock twists...

The scene in LA Confidential when Dudley Smith shoots Jack Vincenze.

Didn't see that one coming at all.
