Which Influential Band Inspired The Worst Bands?

Nirvana take the cake, mostly because I like them, so it's more painful to see the grunge imitators who were so successful in the late nineties, but Iron Maiden is a close second in my mind, and I DONT like Iron Maiden.
 
I meant in general and I don`t see their 80`s material as being much worse than their 70`s material! In the 70`s their very early stuff like Strutter showed they could put out some good songs and "Destroyer" as an album was the best thing they ever did.
 
This is the band I voted other for. I blame all 80's Hair metal firmly on their shoulders. Yuck!
Though in the end, try as they might even great banRAB influence crap. That just the way it goes.
 
I don't think that's really their point, their aim is basically to be as vile, degrading and as brutal as possible. Musicianship and songwriting wouldn't exactly be their strong point. But yeah they are pretty boring and sound like they're trying to hard to be controversial. As regarRAB banRAB they've influence it's an impossible job trying to tell them apart.

Rites of Spring. Emo killed punk, pretty much sucks as of the last 5 years or so, and made a lot of modern rock bland as hell.
