I'm searching for a great GPS system for my boyfriend. His job requires him to drive all over town to see his clients so it needs to be reliable, easy to use, and portable (to be used in his company truck and his personal car).

I don't have that much money to spend, looking between $80-$150?

Which GPS systems have you personally used and would/would not recommend? Also, is there some kind of subscription I will need to buy with it?

THANKS for any input!!

Garmin is the best. They use Nav-tech maps which are best for the USA.

They are extremely popular because they are the best. How many items on Amazon get thousands of reviews? http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-3-5-Inch-Bluetooth-Portable-Navigator/dp/B000EXS1BS/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1232560573&sr=8-1

I wont recommend the Sat Nav,their crap. They give you wrong directions. The tom toms seem good. And no joke. Those cheap no name brands from china has been the best Ive ever used.(no joke).

no brand asia: The Best
TOM TOM : Had no problems ,are good
Sat,NAV : worst

My opinion ofcourse.
