Which films did you NOT want to see.. then were pleasantly surprised!

Chicago (i thought it would be like Mouline Rouge which was absolute tosh to put it nicely but it wasn't)- it was brilliant :)

Mean Girls
I just thought it would be a crap teen movie where "a girl fancies a lad, the popular girl goes out with him and then goes out with the girl" although that did it happen it was a very good film.

Also 10 Things I Hate About You

The third in the matrix trilogy - just totally not my film, not seen the other two, thought I'd hate it but didnt... wasnt amazing but it was watchable.

Kingdom of Heaven - I dont tend to like orlando bloom, and I'm not a massive fan of war type films.. but I really did like this film.. tho i couldnt tel you why

pirates of the carribean, i really didnt want to see it, but when it came on to disney channel i thought id watch it to see what all the fuss was about, and i loved it, its one of my fave films

Romeo and Juliet........DiCaprio version.

Never had any interest in seeing it untill i saw it cheap in tescos recently and thought i'd give it a shot.

Twas brilliant. Now i understand what all the hype was about.

Oh Brother Where Art Thou and Down to Earth - saw both while in the US cause my OH wanted to see them - i wasn't really looking forward to either but enjoyed both more then my OH!!!

Fight Club.

I had no desire to see a movie about a club where guys fight. It seemed stupid and pointless.

Boy did I ever get the idea of a film wrong! :D

It's now one of my all time great movies.

I go into most movies assuming the worst, and then I'm pleasantly surprised if they're anything less than awful :)

The last film that I was 'pleasantly surprised' at was "Lucky Number Slevin"; I went into the cinema expecting a 'sub-par' gangster flick, but ended up rather enjoying it - not the greatest film ever, but certainly more entertaining than I expected...

my Wife wanted to go see a movie , heres what she said "its a movie about some divers who find treasure ,but they compeat with treasure hunters"

i decided ooh well some quality time with the Wife.

hehe "Into the Blue" has to be the best movie i seen on cinema , Well its not the movie i enjoyed.
but the moral of the story is ,, i enjoyed something while i was in that cinema .

Jessica Alba you are a godess

White Chicks. I saw the trailer at the cinema and actually commented on how I couldnt believe anyone could make such a s**t looking film. My OH brought it home one night and I can honestly say it is one of the funniest films I have ever seen.

The Island. I'd heard that it had flopped at the cinema and thought there must have been a good reason for it.
Borrowed it on DVD the other day and was totally engrossed. Great action film.
That's the last time I pay attention to Box Office reports.

i sort of quite fancied oh brother where art thou but never got round to seeing it then it came on the television and my daughter said i think you'll enjoy that ..and because we usually enjoy the same films i watched it and thought it was great film!

Cars - a film i had no intention to go see but was one of the best times this year that ive been the movies... maybe thats because i was with my 9year old son who was desperate to see it. Recommend anyone to go see it. :D

Wicker Man - one i would not normally go and see but friend was adamant about seeing it. i enjoyed it in the end... although it was a bit disturbing  and played on my mind, but maybe thats why i thought it was a good movie. :D

I completely agree with Moulin Rouge and Fight Club.

I really, really didn't want to go and see the Sixth Sense, but left the cinema thinking "boy, that was a good film!"
