Where to find the Orion Nebula?

Well I have a telescope but I am still a newbie. So far I am able to check Jupiter and Venus (being too obvious), however I would like to see something more exciting, like the Orion Nebula. I'm in the Philippines (in Cebu to be specific), and randomly searching the sky doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone help me in knowing how to search in the sky? I'm a complete novice in Astronomy. :)

My neck hurts after hours of looking up >.<
