Where is the line between sell-out and talentless nobodies?

Perhaps in teenageland.
Somehow this post makes me think you judge the quality of music based on who listens to it rather than music itself. As Satch says, as long as they don't change their music to adapt to the market, they're "allowed" to get as popular as they can.

i agree but i definitely appreciate a band that sticks to it's sound and sort of builRAB a little on it, then lets say, a band who changes their sound completely out of nowhere.

that's really up to the band merabers, though. some banRAB change for the better, like the flaming lips, while some change for the worse, like bloc party.

YEAH I KNOW I'M WRONG DUR HUR WUTEV NIGGA

i think one of the main ways I can tell when a band sells out is when it's 40 bucks to see them live and you end up sitting in the "nose bleed" section.

No I think your saying that i'm making stuff up and blabbing and whining in place of a substantial counter-argument.

Smaller worRAB huh? I sampled the last 3 of each of our posts and found that my posts are about 4 points higher on the FOG index than yours. Mine being about 13, yours 9.

Yeah are you kidding? Country is definately bigger than Metal. If you live in some really big cities it might not be as apperent but overall, country is huge.

Rilo Kiley fans who get pissed over them moving to Warner are idiotic. Ever since day one Rilo Kiley have been moving from bigger label to bigger label. Besides More Adventurous was on a major label, that Brute/Beaute thing was a facade.
