What's your favourite horror anime?

I dont think this may qualify but there's demons and such, if u havent seen Berserk i suggest u watch it. Claymore is good aswell...

How fragile is my heart if I am to face the world alone?" -Rei Ayanami from? I do not recall that line and I have watched the Eva series probably 6 times. From a movie maybe (sounds like it would be from End of Evangelion)?

Anyway, as far as horror goes ... unfortunately I can't really think of any top notch horror anime. If Paranoia Agent counts as horror, I would pick that, or else Perfect Blue. Im not sure why, but both comedy and horror just don't translate real well for me through anime, although I like both genres in movies and tv shows.
 
To be completely honest, I don't really remember either. I found it on a website of anime quotes. It was probably in the movie like you said, or possibly in the manga or one of the spin off manga. It could have even possibly been in one of Rei's character songs.

wow, just watched a trailer for Ghost Hunt. That does look pretty good, and creepy. I see Amazon.com has a pre-order available for the value edition of the complete series for $22 that comes out in September. I will have to put that on my list of things to get.
 
You wont be disappointed. This is truly a good anime, ok i know a lot of people tend to place the gore category with horror and i understand i use to do the same, but once u watch Ghost Hunt u can actually say wow this is a real horror anime. Don't get me wrong it's not scary but it is creepy. I'm mid way through the series and i like all the stories so far. What i also like is that most of the file cases or stories are divided in to 3 to 4 episodes, by doing this they can develop the stories real well.
 
I love Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni. I think it's a wonderfully creepy series. Le Portrait de Petit Cossette is also a great creepy ghost story! It's very head trippy.
 
Gantz would be the best horror anime I have seen, I hear a lot of people going on about how bad the ending was too, but it made sense to me.
