Elfin Lied is the only 'horror' anime I've seen, and it was actually good enough to keep me watching it to the end. These longer anime's with a lot of fillers (Bleach, cough cough) are a little obnoxious sometimes. 'Lain' was semi-horror-ish.. but again, not too gripping. Definitely a mind-bend if you're looking for one.
