Whats your fave "Carry On" movie?

I love 'carry on' movies.

My favourites are:
-Carry on camping
-Carry on abroad
-Carry on matron.

Absoloutly love Hattie Jacques/Kenneth Williams and Barbara WinRABor in the 'carry on' movies.

Who remembers a TV biopic made a few years back called 'Cor blimey'..it was made for the BBC and it showed what went on behind the set of 'Carry on'..also the 'affair' with Barbara and Sid James. Would love to have a copy of that but don't think it was ever released on DVD.

please tell us what you think about it, Inky Binky - they might come as a bit of a shock to you :D They're kind of hard wired into our British psyche, so we can't judge them objectively. We probably saw them as kiRAB, and thought they were very rude

for goodness sake, pick one of the "good" ones!

Carry On was Spying was indeed her first, she had a scene wearing a beard, she fluffed her line and Kenneth Williams passed some remark berating her to which she replied "that's fine coming from someone with Fenellas Fieldings minge hair strapped to their face" - F. F. is bald as a coot and noted for always wearing a wig which is why it makes it even more apt.

My faves are Spying Screaming and (purely for the dining room scene being bombed) Khyber

My list of almost faves are Cleo, Cabby, Constable

Top 5 in order:

1 - Carry On Behind
2 - Carry On Up The Khyber
3 - Carry On Follow That Camel
4 - Carry On Abroad
5 - Carry On Again Doctor

Also liked Carry On Camping, Carry On Cabby, Carry On At Your Convenience, Carry On Matron, Carry On Doctor, in fact other than Carry On England, Carry On Emmannuelle and the awful Carry On Columbus I liked all of them.

My favorite from Cleo, curtesy of IMDB:

[the gaurd has just told Hengist that he will be going to the lions]
Hengist Pod: I hope they'e a nice family!
Horsa: Eh, Hengist, what he means is that you will be thrown to the lions, in the arena
Hengist Pod: oh, THOSE lions! Yahhh!
[Hengist jumps into Horsa's arms. Horsa puts Hengist down]
Horsa: Don't worry. Head in the mouth, quick snap of the jaws and it'll all be over!
Hengist Pod: Yes, but how am I going to get his head into my mouth?

I'm actually not a big fan of the historic ones. They are funny, but Imuch prefer the 'saucy' ones from the 1970s like Abroad and Convenience.

Also love Camping, Cabbie and Teacher.

Follow That Camel
Doctor
Abroad

For personal reasons, Cruising holRAB a special place in my heart as I used to watch it as a nipper with my late granddad. I didn't actually mind Columbus either, wasn't a classic, but it had it's moments.

Only one I really didn't like was Emmanuel.
